Johnson vs Flynn Silk
On July 4, 1912, Heavyweight Champion Jack Johnson successfully defended his title against another "white hope," Fireman Jim Flynn. Flynn was disqualified for repeated fouls in their match in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Offered here is a rare, illustrated souvenir silk issued at the time of the fight to commemorate the event. Both fighters are pictured on this fabulous 17x18" silk. The silk has bold color and is in overall fine condition, but has been taped to board on the edges. Will matte and frame beautifully.
