Posada has been a fixture behind the plate at Yankee Stadium for so long, one forgets he had to pay his dues. This great Posada bat is a reminder of the Santurce native's flight up the minor league ladder to the Bronx, having been used in the late '80s when he was just a teenager. Black Louisville Slugger C243 is of the period 1986-89; Posada made his Yankee debut in 1995, so he had lots of dues to pay. Bat is no doubt a symbol of great pride as perhaps the first with his name engraved on it, and he signed the barrel with that pride in silver marker, grading 8/10. "15" handwritten in white on knob. Plentiful use with ball marks and pine tar residue.
