Laser Photographs Including Kentucky Derby Winners from the Former Turf & Sport Digest Magazine (64)
The Turf & Sport Digest was one of the finest publications that covered the sport of thoroughbred racing. The following two items include the original magazine folders with labels from the magazine files. Each folder includes the laser photos found inside. Laser photos became popular in the 1970s and 1980s in the sport. In addition to being fragile, a few were prepared in triplicate. 1) Twenty-four photos of Winning Colors showing the filly mainly winning the Ky. Derby and engaging in workouts. 2) Eleven photos of Unbridled, also a Derby victor, featuring the Kentucky Derby & Preakness Along with material from the Turf & Sport Digest, is an archival album with twenty-six other laser photographs, several oversized, of important thoroughbreds, some also in triplicate. A description of each is listed in the album. Noteworthy of the stars in the set are Cigar, Arazi, Ferdinand, and Devil His Due. In spite of normally being fragile, the folders and laser photos are wonderful, rare pictures in excellent plus condition, with hardly any noticeable damage.
