Late 1970’s Game Worn Washington Capitals Gord Smith Jersey
These flashy sweaters were so indicative of the creative 1970’s uniform styles. A great vintage dureen gamer with “Washington Capitals” across the front in red & blue tackle twill lettering and red hockey stick design. 5 blue & white stars sewn above as well as down both sleeves. The number “6” is displayed on the back as well as both sleeves in blue on red tackle twill. Slightly faded look to the lettering from being washed repeatedly. Extensive signs of game use throughout the stained jersey plus multiple team repairs make this an undeniable classic. The nameplate on the verso has been completely removed but its length suggests that it was once worn by someone with a long name. Collar tagging is “Wilson [size] 44” with slightly faded print.
