Lou Brock 893rd Stolen Base Game Used Ball

Lou Brock 893rd Stolen Base Game Used Ball

The legendary Cardinal and base-stealing phenom took his rightful place atop the record list on August 29th, 1977. On that day Lou Brock stole a pair of bases against the Padres, numbers “892” and “893”, breaking Ty Cobb’s modern record. Used in play during those nine historic innings was this Official National League (Feeney) baseball, obtained by a ball boy after the game’s conclusion. Moments later Lou took the time to sign and inscribe the sphere, “Lou Brock-#893-Aug 29, 1977,” in black felt tip. The mark he left has remained dark and grades no less than a “10” out of possible “10”, while the ball shows nice game use with one large scuff and even-toning.
