Lou Gehrig Single-Signed Baseball (PSA)

Lou Gehrig Single-Signed Baseball (PSA)

Taylor "Boys League" baseball signed in black fountain pen by Hall of Fame first baseman Lou Gehrig. As was his custom, Gehrig has inscribed the ball on a side panel: "To Ray Jr./Kindest Regards/Lou Gehrig." Both the text and signature are uniform in grade, averaging 7/10. The red-and-blue stitched ball displays light soiling, with a few minor surface blemishes, and bold manufacturer's stampings. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Gehrig's untimely death at the age of thirty-seven in 1941 ensured that the supply of Gehrig single-signed balls will never come close to meeting the ever-increasing demand. This is just the fourth example we have offered in the past ten years, and one that would be a welcome addition to an advanced Hall of Fame or New York Yankees single-signed ball collection.
