Following is a list of mostly oversized publications in great condition without damage or any writing except for minor damage on E. below. A) Post Time, August 1937 with a drawing of War Admiral on the cover. The magazine has 48 pages with many articles on horse racing. Seven full pages on War Admiral containing five photos. Also, a glossary with ratings of both jockeys and racehorses in training. B) True, July 1958 issue, 120 pages, with six pages on jockey Earl Sande with ten photos. C) Arlington Park 50th Anniversary Issue. Many pictures and write-ups of famous Arlington stakes races. Also, photos and information on each of the members of Arlington's Hall of Fame (14 racehorses, 7 jockeys, 5 trainers & 3 stables). 1977, 72 pages. D) Washington Park, History of the American Derby, 1941, 46 pages. Articles and winners of each race event from 1884 through 1940, although there were several years when the race was not held. Particulars also on the Wash. Park Handicap and other important races. E) Click. February, 1944 magazine featuring 11 photos on three pages of Count Fleet. 56 pages are all there; two have been separated with minor staining where staples are. F) Rider and Driver, April 1938, 30 pages. Editorial on the original match between Seabiscuit and War Admiral scheduled on Decoration (Memorial) Day at Belmont Park before having to re-schedule to Pimlico. Pictures of both horses on page 20. G) Scientific American. Two issues, 16 pages each in 1901 (June 1, & July 6), both having six photos on the cover pages showing dismantling and excavating of the former Jerome Park racecourse to make way for the Jerome Park reservoir to provide water to NYC. H) Kentucky Derby Magazines: 5/2/1942, 52 pages showing Whirlaway on cover. Fourteen photographs of the 1941 Derby including a full page of Whirlaway in color. Includes detailed history of each of the prior KD races through 1941 5/8/1937, 82 pages with Bold Venture on the cover includes nine photographs of the 1936 Derby. Write-ups on all the previous winners with other racing articles. I) Thoroughbred Record Magazines: 8/18/1951, best of the year 1950. Horse of Year Hill Prince on cover, 22 pages. 6/20/1953, 30 pages with six photos of Native Dancer winning the Belmont Stakes. 3/18/1961, 46 pages with photos & four pages on War Admiral. May 1990, 119 pages. Article and photos of Black jockeys and classic confrontations in the Preakness Stakes. 6/13/1970, 80 pages with High Echelon, winner of the Belmont stakes, on the cover. J) Turf and Sport Digest, 64 pages with photos of Bold Ruler winning the Preakness. K) Santa Anita Calendars (2) for both 2011 and 2013. Each has 14 large sized color photographs of various scenes at Santa Anita Park. The 2013 features statue of Zenyatta on cover. L) Fifty-four page hard cover book on the Washington Park Club published in 1887. All rules of the racetrack are listed with a complete list of all members. M) Goodwin's Racing Colors, with their respective owners, of the U.S. and Canada. It is a 2013 reprint of the original 1888 publication. Contains 43 pages plus a 19 page index. N) Horses in Training, 1905 soft cover, by H. A. Buck. Pages not numbered.
