Magnificent Mel Ott Single Signed Baseball (PSA 7-NRMT)
The all time great New York Giant had a stellar career that saw him become one of the greatest home run hitters ever and one of the favorites of the fans. This baseball is as special as the player it represents. It is one of the only few authentic examples of a single signed Ott ball known to exist. Additionally, it is also among the elite of this already very small group. Non official ball (Official Little League) is very close to snow white with absolutely zero blemishes. Wonderfully scripted in blue ball-point on a side panel "To George S. Hipp Very Best Wishes, Mel Ott". Writing rates at least an 8/10. The only flaw is a very slight bleeding of the ink. PSA/DNA has graded this ball a 7 (NRMT) but we really feel that it is better. It's a beaut. You'll be able to tell just by the accompanying photo here. From the famous George S. Hipp collection.
