Mantle & Maris Signed Plaque and DiMaggio/Walters Signed Baseball Magazine (2)
A couple of beautiful display pieces depicting some all-time greats are contained in this lot. Obtained in person by long-time collector Ernie Montella and with his label on verso, one is a laminated Life magazine cover from August of 1961 with the title "Babe Ruth's Challengers: Mantle Maris." The piece is 12x15" and the signature of each is mounted below the cover, each in vivid 9/10 blue marker. The other is a cover of Baseball Magazine from November of 1939 (the year is not shown on the cover). Depicted on this framed and matted 15x13" piece are "Bucky" Walters and Joe DiMaggio, with Walters signature showing as vintage in 8/10 black ink, while DiMaggio's 8.5/10 is in blue ink. Both pieces are in Excellent condition.
