Mario Lemieux's 2002 Olympics Team Canada Game Used Stick
Mario Lemieux led his superstar squad on to Olympic glory as Team Canada captured the gold medal in Men's Ice Hockey at Salt Lake City. This is the limited edition Nike gamer handled by Mario during the semi-final match against Belarus on February 22, 2002. Team Canada graphics run along the shaft and the knob is wrapped in Lemieux's distinctive tape job. Nice game use with multiple stick marks. Mario has added a perfect autograph. An astonishing piece of hockey history from a true hero, both on and off the ice. The accompanying Letter of Authenticity on Pittsburgh Penguins letterhead notes the date and game and reads, in part, "Special edition Nike Quest 3 in Team Canada colors designed specifically for my Olympic appearance". Mario has signed his name at the bottom above the title "Mario Lemieux, Chief Executive Officer".
