Mario Lemieux 600th and 690th (Last) Goal Tickets

Mario Lemieux 600th and 690th (Last) Goal Tickets

Pair of milestone tickets relating to Pittsburgh Penguins icon Mario Lemieux. 1) Stub from the February 4, 1997, game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Vancouver Canucks, an empty-netter in the final minute of the Pens' 6-4 triumph. Ticket has been very neatly torn and well preserved, with no visible markings and front and four sharp corners. Hand written on the back in black ink is "Mario 600th Goal." 2) Full ticket from the November 10, 2005, game in which Super Mario recorded his 690th and final career goal. Full color ticket has an image of Sergei Gonchar on the front, and the stub is bent but not torn; there is an indentation where a paper clip once held something on the middle of the ticket, the top edge shows some wear, and the stub has been folded but is still attached. The game is perhaps less remembered for Le Magnifique's final goal as for the first shootout goal (clinching the 3-2 Pittsburgh win) by fresh-faced Sid "The Kid" Crosby. Nice history in these ducats.
