Mario Lemieux Game Used Pittsburgh Penguins CCM Stick

Mario Lemieux Game Used Pittsburgh Penguins CCM Stick

Magnificent stick from "Le Magnifique," French for "The Magnificent One" - Mario Lemieux. This Hall of Fame center, also known as "Super Mario," played his entire NFL career with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Injuries and illness forced him to miss many games and three entire seasons, from 1997-98 through 1999-2000, yet he still scored 690 goals and had 1,023 assists for 1,723 points. Bobby Orr once called Lemieux, "The most talented player I've ever seen." Now the owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Lemieux is the only man to have won Stanley Cups as both a player and an owner. He won two as a player and three more as Pittsburgh's owner. He is one of only three Hockey Hall of Fame players to play AFTER being inducted into the Hall of Fame. As with Gordie Howe and Guy Lefleur, Lemieux came out of retirement to play again after already being inducted into the HOF. His stick is a CCM Vector, right-handed shot, from unknown year. "M. LEMIEUX" and "$-5307-1" is stamped on stick. Evidence of use from slight tears on tape on black, and from nicks and scratches on numerous places on stick. Signature is in black felt tipped marker.
