Mark Pavelich's 1980 US Olympic Team USA Game Worn Jersey
What an amazing find! The greatest moment in US hockey history took place in February of 1980 as the underdog US hockey squad defeated the Russians and went on to take the gold in the “Miracle On Ice”. This "rag tag fleet" of kids meshed as a team over eight months and dozens of pre-tournament games to prepare for the Olympics. Brilliant blue mesh uniform made by Norcon, tagged at the waist and again in the collar (size XL) worn during the pretournament run to Lake Placid. This is the number “16” jersey issued to and worn by Mark Pavelich for pre-Olympic play and differs from the tournament uniforms as the USA on the front is diagnonal rather than arched. Regardless, these real 1980 US Olympic Team uniforms are highly prized by the members of the gold medal team and almost none have been offered into the hobby. This is your chance to obtain a piece of hockey history!
