Martin & Lewis 1950 Signed Contract
This 2-pages contract is for a pivotal moment in the career of the comedy team of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. Signed by both in 1950, for the principle photography for the 1951 film “That's My Boy” marked the first time they were given actual roles rather than performing extensions of their famous nightclub personalities. It is one of their best movies, with sports content as Jerry plays "Junior" Jackson, son of an overbearing former football great at Ridgeville College sent by his father to play for the squad. The coach must honor the wishes of such a prominent alum, but is fortunate to have ringer Martin looking out for Lewis. Comes with a cover page dated December 30, 1950. Signed in teal blue ballpoint the signatures are NRMT and the actual contracts are VG-EX as there is a small piece missing from the top and there are two-holes punched for filing. Measures 8.5x11”.
