Martin Luther King Original Negatives (10)
On December 28, 1962, Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke to an audience of 7,000 at the Oakland Auditorium to mark the 100-year anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, and the images on these negatives were shot by a San Francisco Examiner photographer during that engagement. Each of the five strips contains two images, including those of a six-year-old girl named Antoinette Oliver who greeted the civil rights leader.
