Splendid collection is all lasers, but includes mostly the early ones (1960s). Some of the highlights include various images announcing retirement in 1966 with some great images of him on the mound (4), press conference for his retirement fighting back the tears, with Jim Palmer (1966 World Series), throwing as NBC broadcaster, throwing out 1967 first pitch, 1968 Old Timers Game, great 1966 pose (awesome!), 1966 World Series classic pitching pose, striking out (1966), bathing his arm and more. Most are in uniform and almost all are 1960s. Average 7x9" (some little ones) and EX. Some publishing marks. <br><p style="font-family:Arial; font-size:8pt; font-weight:normal; color:Black;"><strong>This lot is from the legendary San Francisco Examiner Archive (SFXArchive)</strong>.<br>This is one largest collections ever of historic vintage photos spanning the entire 20th century. The San Francisco Examiner was the first paper acquired by William Randolph Hearst and itself was the subject of the film classic Citizen Kane. The majority of the photographs are fully identified, and back-stamped with dates. Included throughout this auction is a diverse mix of subjects including sports, historical, political, transportation, Hollywood, and all facets of entertainment.</p>
