Masanori Murakami Single Signed Baseball with Inscriptions
With Japanese baseball players, especially pitchers, coming over to play in the United States, with many such as future Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki and current superstar Shohei Otani becoming household names, we present a single signed OML baseball of the first Japanese baseball player, pitcher Masanori Murakami, who played for the San Francisco Giants for two seasons in the mid 60s. With his name beautifully scripted across the sweet spot, Murakami added S.F. Giants and his number "37". Below on the South panel, he inscribed "1st Japanese Major Leaguer '64, '65". While still alive at age 73, Murakami currently lives in Japan, and single signed baseball (especially with inscriptions) of the first {Japanese player are very difficult to obtain.
