Maurice Richard was honored at the annual Bill Corum Dinner in 1960 along with sports heavyweights Jack Dempsey, Ty Cobb, Bobby Jones, Jesse Owens, Red Grange. Bob Cousy and Wilt Chamberlain. Heavy bronze and wood plaque presented during the Rocket’s final season proclaims “Maurice Richard, Hockey’s Man of the Age, Presented at Bill Corum Memorial Dinner, Sports Lodge, B’nai B’rith, New York, Jan 24th, 1960”.
