One of the top 30 leading money earners of all time, Medaglia d’Oro finished second in the world’s richest race, which was his last, in the 2004 Dubai World Cup. For his career, he was first or second in 15 of 17 starts. Medaglia d’Oro won $5.75 million in his career, including victories in the Travers, Jim Dandy, Whitney and Donn Handicap. This son of El Prado was trained by the late Bobby Frankel. Offered here is the white exercise cloth worn by Medaglia D'Oro during workouts leading up to his second place finish in the '04 Dubai World Cup. It features red trim, felt #2 and the horse's name screened on in red.
