Mel Allen Signed Rawlings Bat

Mel Allen Signed Rawlings Bat

Not many broadcasters could ever get away with signing their names on a bat, but it seemed perfectly appropriate for Mel Allen, the legendary "Voice of the Yankees" from 1939-63 who was elected to the HOF in 1985. That moniker was so soldered to the gregarious, Alabama-drawling Allen that when he signed this black Rawlings bat in silver marker (NRMT) he added it under his name, although he just as easily could have written "How about that?" Bat is also NRMT. Get it before it's going, gone, gone.
