The most intriguing aspect about this International News Service photo of New York Giants Hall of Famer Mel Ott is whether the "Leo" he signed it to is Leo Durocher -- who in 1947 uttered one of sports' greatest put-down lines with Ott as the target: "Nice guys finish last" and soon after replaced Ott as Giant manager. The full inscription in blue pen reads: "To Leo, Always the best, Mel Ott." Signature is 8/10. Photo 7x9" and EX-NRMT with barely a nick or scratch and the wire stamp on back.
