Mickey Mantle 61* Uniform Screen Worn by Thomas Jane (ex-Cooperstown HOF)
Suitable for both the big screen and the baseball diamond, this complete New York Yankees uniform was worn by Thomas Jane in the movie 61* (and yes, the asterisk is in the title). The film dramatizes the historic 1961 chase between Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris for Babe Ruth's single-season home run record. Full uniform consists of wool jersey and pants, stirrups, belt and helmet. Pants have AIS size 36 tag inside with a hole on the side, jersey has AIS size 40 tag inside tail. This jersey and helmet were on display at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, and the lot comes with the card that was on display with the items in the Hall. Helmet shows nice use with "MM #7" handwritten inside.
