Mickey Mantle and Billy Martin Yankees Wire Photo (1956)
Great, post-game, locker room photo of smiling Yankees Billy Martin and Mickey Mantle. Wire photo was taken on July 31, 1956 after a 13-6 Yankee victory over the Cleveland Indians. Photo is 8" x 10", in VG condition with newspaper edit markings along the top side. Newspaper clippings are taped to the back. Martin had three hits including a home run that left fielder, Al Smith, leaped over the fence to catch, only to fall over the fence and drop the ball on the other side. Mantle drove in six runs on two homers, including a grand slam.
