Mickey Mantle Endorsed Catcher's Equipment
Hall of Fame outfielder and American sports icon Mickey Mantle endorsed various products during the 1950s and '60s. Here's a rarity - a complete set of catcher's gear that Mantle clearly never wore since he never played the position professionally. The lot, manufactured by Hawthorne, includes 2 shin pads, a chest protector and mask, all of which have Mantle's facsimile autograph. The shin pads have a serial number of sorts: 60-4144. The mask strap has the number 60-4148 and the chest protector 60-4152. The manufacturer stamp is also on each item, which all show good use but are still in excellent condition.
