A feast for Mantle memorabilia freaks. All items signed by Mantle. Includes: 1) 8 x 10” of Mantle as a pubescent phenom in his original #6 Yankees uniform. EX. 2) Limited edition 1980 b&w illustration “Switch” by Mark Rucker, depicting Mick swinging from both sides of the plate in the same image. 8.5 x 11”. EX w/pinholes at the corners. 3) Color magazine photo w/ a smiliar swtich-hitting motif. 8 x 10”. NRMT. 4) Candid dugout shot of Mantle. 8 x 10”. EX w/mild damage on lower right corner. 5-6). Two NRMT 8 x 10’s of Mantle and Duke Snider circa late ‘70s/early ‘80s. 7-8) Two first-day cover envelopes (3.5 x 6.5”) postmarked Feb. 14, 1985 & April 16, 1985 and dealing with his reinstatement to baseball after being banned for hosting in a casino. 9) First-day cover envelope postmarked Dec. 10, 1983 from the Superstar Convention in Atlantic City. 10) Vintage ad for Mission orange drink. 3 x 7”. EX-MT. 11) Oct. 6, 1985 Diamond Legends Autograph Ticket from a signing show in Wilkes Barre, PA. 3 x 7.25”. NRMT. 12) Rare Aug. 1951 issue of Baseball Magazine with Mantle on the red & white cover. 8.5 x 11”. VG with a rip at top center and damage on lower right corner, spine tight, pages brown, but intact. Signatures on the items average Excellent to Near Mint, a few with very minor flaws, most are perfect. Some great finds here.
