Mickey Mantle Signed Photo to Carl Erskine
Though his Yankees got the better of Brooklyn four times in five Octobers, Mickey Mantle was gracious enough to sign this photo for Dodgers hurler Carl Erskine, with the message: "To Carl. The Greatest W.S. Pitcher in the World. Mickey Mantle 4K's." The 4K's references Game 3 of the 1953 World Series in which Erskine struck out Mantle in each of his four trips to the plate en route to a complete game victory. The Sports Illustrated promo photo is EX and comes with a signed LOA from Erskine. "The Mick" signed it in 8/10 black felt tip.
