Mickey Mantle "Stan The Man" Game Issue Bat
After his legendary playing career drew to a close, Stan Musial turned his name to the production of sporting goods. During the latter half of the 1960s, Stan the Man's company produced baseball bats such as the one offered here and, like manufacturers throughout the generations, player endorsements were a main selling point. This dark-grained beaut bears the manufacturer's engraving on the trademark, with "MANTLE TYPE" engraved on the barrel, joining a pair of Hall of Famers on one piece of lumber. Until his passing in 2013, Musial was actively involved in the company, which closed its doors for good two years later.
