Mickey Mantle Vintage Signed "Thanks for the Tips" Photograph (JSA)

Mickey Mantle Vintage Signed "Thanks for the Tips" Photograph (JSA)

<p>"They ought to create a new league for that guy," said pitcher Jack Harshman about Mickey Mantle. Offered is a signed black and white photo of a smiling, young Mantle. Even Mantle's complexion appears to be that of a very young man. That's appropriate, because Mickey started young. The Hall of Fame slugger was playing with the New York Yankees at 19 years old, a regular at age 20, hitting .311, with 23 home runs. By 1956, when Mickey was 24, he won the American League Triple Crown, as he hit .353, with 52 home runs and 130 RBI. Mantle would go on to hit 536 home runs, win three AL MVPs, and help the Yankees to seven World Series Championships. Mantle has signed the 8"x10" photo with a ball point pen, in black ink. Part of the inscription, which read "To John", has been removed. The remaining part of the inscription reads, "Thanks for all the tips &amp; everything". The signed photo comes with a Letter of Authenticity for both the signature and inscription from JSA.&nbsp;</p>
