Mid 1970's Fred Stanfield Game Worn Buffalo Sabres Jersey

Mid 1970's Fred Stanfield Game Worn Buffalo Sabres Jersey

Blue dureen fabric Buffalo Sabres jersey was worn by one of the best powerplay quarterbacks in hockey history. After coming to Buffalo in 1974, Fred Stanfield provided the Sabres with a saavy on-ice presence and led them to the Stanley Cup finals. According to Stanfield himself, this jersey was worn during the '74-75 finals. Evidence does show that it could have been worn in Game 1 of the finals without the nameplate, which was recycled into subsequent seasons with the nameplate attached. Jersey is a gorgeous gamer with flying buffalo over two embroidered crossed sabers logo sewn on front. Stylish tie-neck style with original laces intact. Verso is ‘Stanfield” in yellow letters on straight nameplate and his number “17” below in yellow on white tackle twill. Each sleeve also bears his number. Collar tagging is “Rawlings [size] 50.” The item comes with LOA signed by Fred Stanlfield.
