Mid 1990s Ron Francis Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey
Francis, who was playing pro hockey at age 17, was still playing it at age 40 last year before finally hanging up his orthopedic skates after, gulp, 25 NHL seasons. After a long run with the Whalers, the tough-as-old-shoe-leather center won the Stanley Cup in his 1st 2 seasons with the Penguins, '90-91 and '91-92, and scored 100 points or more in 2 other seasons with the club. This Penguin jersey worn in the mid-'90s features the Pens' logo on the front along with the assistant captain's "A". "Francis" and "10" on verso, "10" on both sleeves in gold on black tackle twill. Gold, white and black piping on neck, sleeves and waist. "Starter" and NHL logos on hem. "Starter/NHL" and "Authentic Collection Center Ice" tags inside collar with sewn-in "54-R" tag with a handwritten "10R". Nice use. Great display shirt off the back of a future hockey HOF’er.
