Mint $50 Win Ticket on Ruffian & Mint Complete $50 Win Ticket on Foolish Pleasure from the 1975 Match Race

An unusual artifact from one of the most famous - and tragic - horse races of all time, featured here are a pair of Mint $50 Win tickets, one placed on Ruffian and the other on Foolish Pleasure, from the Match Race held on July 6, 1975, at Belmont Park. The Foolish Pleasure ticket has been cashed and stamped on the reverse, but is complete and not torn. This ticket was autographed by Foolish Pleasure's jockey, Braulio Baeza, on the front. Ruffian jumped to an early lead before suffering a broken leg during the race and had to be put down.
