1). Catalogue of Racehorses in Training including thoroughbred mares and yearlings, and sires the property of Morris and Walden to be sold at auction October 6 and 7, 1899 at Morris Park Racecourse. The auctioneer was Wm. Easton. Robert Wyndham Walden was one of the most successful American trainers in horse racing during the latter part of the 19th century. He trained seven Preakness stakes, four Belmont Stakes, & two Travers winners. Messrs. Walden were owners of Morris Park and had many stakes winners with Walden as trainer. The only writing is about fifteen checkmarks next to names of horses the bidder likely was following. The booklet is in great condition with tight binding & no tears, folds. 2). Jockey Club Gold Cup program dated October 2, 1948 with Citation winning by 7 lengths over Phalanx. The Champagne was also on the card featuring Capot which won under Ted Atkinson. There is staining where the staples are and has writing. 3-5). Three Daily Racing Manuals for the years 1938, 1953, and 1954. The books represent Seabiscuit and War Admiral with the latter two years featuring Native Dancer and Tom Foot. All are in excellent condition with no writing.
