This lot consists of many photographs of famous races and racehorses, a number of which were stakes winners, not stars. Rare photos of California Fair racing, unusual events including falls and stumbles, pictures of famous trophies, and Ky. Derby photos by noted Turf and Sport photographer, Stravitz. Also, prize winning photos by the NYRA, defunct racetrack Hazel Park, and racehorse Easy Goer. This is an opportunity to obtain rare, and interesting scenes of horse racing: A.) Racehorses and races, all contained in archival binders with indexes, Binder I - 49 photos, Binder II - 47 photos including 20 photocopies [Secretariat (2), Citation (5), & Whirlaway (3)], plus ten other star racehorses, Binder Ill - 48 photos including one photocopy of the stretch duel between Victory Gallop and Real Quiet in the Belmont Stakes.
