Nashua-Swaps Match Race Program

Nashua-Swaps Match Race Program

From Washington Park comes this racing program from August 31, 1955, featuring the famous match race between Hall of Famers Nashua and Swaps. The staple-bound program, which folds up, is completely intact and NRMT with a small crease at the top and no visible tears. There is writing inside indicating race finish, scratches, etc. Billed as a "Winner Take All" match race, jockey Eddie Arcaro piloted Nashua to victory, outdueling Willie Shoemaker aboard Swaps.
