Native Dancer & Sagamore Farm Photographs (30)

Native Dancer, although born in Kentucky, was raised at owner Alfred Vanderbilt’s Sagamore Farm in Maryland where he retired to sire over 40 stakes winners. Included are 15 very rare photos of the training track, stables, farm, judges’ stand, indoor track, jockey Eric Guerin and other riders playing pool, Vanderbilt, etcetera. In addition are 15 photographs of Native Dancer in various races, exercising, in winner’s circle plus other shots of his racing career from 1952 through 1954 and later in retirement. A number of the photos are by noted photographers including six by Sutcliffe. All are in excellent to extremely fine condition, with a few one of a kind, contained in an archival album.
