Ned Garver Detroit Tigers Game Used Cap and Spikes

Ned Garver Detroit Tigers Game Used Cap and Spikes

Tigers cap is a McAuliffe size 7 1/8 and shows fine use with "31" written under the brim and also is signed by Garver, a right-hander who pitched for 14 years in the Majors, all in the American League. His best season was in 1951 when he won 20 games with the St. Louis Browns. He threw for the Detroit Tigers from 1952-56, with his best Tiger pitching coming in 1954 when he went 14-11 with a 2.81 ERA. His spikes show heavy use and appear to be about a size 10. Both are signed by Garver in 6/10 silver. Hat and spikes were both obtained directly from Garver and date from the mid-1950s.
