Negro Leaguer Sam Jethroe Signed Puerto Rican Players Contract (1946)
Sam Jethroe is regarded as one of the finest Negro League players and even went on to play for the Boston Braves. The first black man on the team’s roster, he captured the Rookie of the Year title in 1950 at the age of 33. His signature which appears on this Puerto Rican League contract dated October 31, 1946, is written in blue ball point ink and is crystal clear, earning it a rating of 9.5 out of 10. The contract is in EX condition with some creasing around the edges
