New York City Mechanical Bus Sign
Destination: The Polo Grounds. Authentic piece salvaged from a New York City bus. This is the sign in the front of the bus that the driver revolved to show the destination. Brass crank still works and allows to show key stops like Grand Central, Times Square and most importantly the “Polo Grounds.” The stops are stenciled in white on a black cloth that feeds through a gear mechanism. Green metal plate covering with glass window front takes you on the ultimate tour through Gotham. Would make a most amazing display.
