Newcastle Race Course Sterling Silver & Ebony Presentation Walking Stick
Made of sterling silver and ebony wood, this handsome cane is fully hallmarked and bears an inscription, "RPHD 1964 - 1986 Many Thanks Newcastle Racecourse 28 June." The Newcastle Racecourse has a famous race in June entitled the Northumberland Plate, previously known as the "Pitmen's Derby," a day that miners had off as a holiday. The cane measures 35.5" long and has two little dings, but is overall in Excellent condition.
