Official Dugout Lineup Cards For Hank Aaron's 714th Homerun (2)

Official Dugout Lineup Cards For Hank Aaron's 714th Homerun (2)

A most historic pair of lineup cards from the April 4, 1974 contest between the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves at Riverfront Stadium. It was opening day at the ballpark and Hank Aaron stole the show by tying Babe Ruth's long-standing career record of 714 homeruns. These two cards were taken from the dugouts right after the conclusion of the game. The Braves' card is filled out in red pen by Eddie Mathews. It lists the Home Run King batting in the cleanup position. The Reds' card is filled out in red ink by Sparky Anderson. The Braves' card has a tear (from being ripped off of the dugout wall) at the bottom right. Also included is a ticket stub from the game. True baseball history!
