One Dozen Bill Terry Signed "HOF 1930 .401" Inscribed Baseballs
Collection of twelve single-signed Bill Terry baseball's, each bearing the special added notation "HOF 1930 401" below his signature on the sweet spot. Terry, of course, is the last National League player to hit .400, a feat he achieved in 1930 when he topped the circuit with a .401 average. Terry has boldly signed each official National League (Giamatti) ball in blue ink across the sweet spot, with the signatures grading either 9/10 or 10/10. Terry died on January 9, 1989, and Giamatti became National League commissioner in mid-season of 1986; therefore Terry signed these balls during the last two years of his life. Aside from several of the balls displaying either a few tiny areas of light scattered age toning or a tiny light-blue blemish, all remain in Mint condition. An outstanding high-grade collection of Terry single-signed balls, with the added bonus of featuring both the special "HOF" and "401" notations. Each ball is accompanied by an individual LOA from PSA.
