Original Montreal Forum Seat
All original 1926 Montreal Forum seat was sold by the team way back when, and they have become increasingly difficult to find. The Forum was the Montreal Canadiens' home from 1926 to 1996, but the Forum itself opened two years earlier as a home to the rival Montreal Maroons. Set in Section 115 and Row 8, it sports proud #11 (seat#) which is like not one, but two Jacques Plante's. Think of the exciting play witnessed over the seventy years of Canadiens' games from this seat: Goals from the first Montreal Canadien superstar goal scorer, Howie Morenz, and saves from great goalie Georges Vezina, for whom the NHL's top goalie trophy is named; later, Maurice "Rocket" Richard's forays toward goal, Jean Beliveau's elegant skating, and the rushes of Yvan Cournoyer and puck handling of Guy Lafleur Visitors? Orr and Howe and Hull and Gretzky were viewed from this chair. Paint is 100% team original and in exemplary condition. Bright red seat has 1 inch padding and wooden arms. Legs of seat rest on new 24" metal "rails" for support. Sit in this seat and travel back to the first cathedral of hockey.
