Penny Chenery Tweedy's Personal "Secretariat" Canadian International Program & Ticket (Chenery Provenance)

Penny Chenery Tweedy's Personal "Secretariat" Canadian International Program & Ticket (Chenery Provenance)

Swan song of the greatest horse to ever look through a bridle. Secretariat, racing's newly crowned Triple Crown champion, ran his farewell race, not on a dirt track in the United States, but on a grass course in Canada with temperatures dipping to 35°. The result was a six-length romp for the champion as he stormed home, blowing steam with every stride. Unmarked EX+ program and uncashed NM $2 mutual win ticket from the 1973 Canadian International comes from the personal collection of Secretariat's owner, Ms. Penny Tweedy. Accompanied is the original certificate of ownership from Sotheby's which hosted the auction of Ms. Penny Penny Chenery Tweedy in 1999.
