Pete Rose 4,192 Game Worn Jacket
The very Mizuno jacket that Pete Rose wore the night he got the hit that beat the unbeatable Ty Cobb Record of 4,191 hits. Red Mizuno jacket is signed across the front in Mint black marker, "Pete Rose 9-11-85 #4192." Pete sold this to Barry Halper along with one of the jerseys he wore the night he got the hit. "Mizuno" in embroidered white on the chest. Mizuno tagging in the collar with additional black sharpie signature on Halper's favorite spot below. Nice wear and condition. Obtained in the sale of the Barry Halper Collection at Sotheby's, still has the original auction tag and all of the supporting documentation. Best of all is a 3x5 card stating "I Pete Rose wore this jacket the night I broke Ty Cobb's record. 9-11-85." Signed "To Barry My friend and great baseball fan. Pete Rose."
