Phineas T. Bluster Marionette.

Phineas T. Bluster Marionette.

The one, the only, know-it-all Mayor of Doodyville. Even the most casual members of the Peanut Gallery will recognize the importance of this outstanding puppet. Without the shenanigans of this irascible character, Howdy & Buffalo Bob and the rest of Doodyville would not have had any foil that was as much fun to the Peanut Gallery. Originally voiced by the legendary funnyman, Dayton Allen, Bluster was probably the fourth major marionette introduced on the revamped show. The ‘Heavy’ created from the genius of Eddie Kean, brought to life from the designs of Milt Neil and constructed by Master Propman, Scott Brinker in 1948. This “Star” marionette was used throughout most of the run of the TV show. Bluster has a perfectly carved head with ‘animated’ eyes, mouth and yes; his nefarious flittering eyebrows still work marvelously. His molded bowler hat is a composition material and his hair and eyebrows are made of soft rabbit fur. Later employed for the 1970’s Howdy Doody Revival TV show he is in outstanding vintage condition and was re-costumed for his appearance on the 1987 Howdy Doody 40th Anniversary TV Special. Comes with his own personally initialed storage case.
