Programs Featuring Famous Jockeys & Kentucky Derby Winners from Almost 100 Years Ago (4)

1) August 22, 1925, Beverwyck steeplechase, the Merchants & Citizen’s, plus the Grand Union Hotel Stakes won by Haste with Earl Sande up. Contains some writing. 2) 1928 Idle Hour Stock Fani program to benefit orphans. It was won by next year’s Kentucky Derby winner, Clyde Van Dusen. This is a very rare and historic program. The only writing is that Clyde was circled in pencil. 3) Belmont Park on September 2, 1916, featured the Jerome Handicap and the Futurity Stakes, resulting in an unusual and rare occurrence. Former champion jockeys are listed in the program as a patrol judge (James McLaughlin), and “Snapper” Garrison as a trainer in a few races. Contains some writing. 4) 1928 Kentucky Derby won by Reigh Count (sire of TC winner Count Fleet). Program has age and very little writing.
