Rare 1911 Chicago White Sox Stadium Tri-Fold Panoramic Postcard
Hard to come by 1911 Panoramic Postcard of the Chicago White Sox "New Ball Park". The tri-fold postcard is a photo like illustration by Max Rigot of Chicago. This stunning postcard pictures the field with a game in progress from the third baseline point of view. The piece is 23 7/8" x 5 1/8" flat, folds twice to 8" x 5 1/8". It is in VG-EX condition with some age discoloration of the paper, and a few minor corner nicks and wear along the fold lines. Overall it is a great looking piece and is nicely framed to 11 x 29" which has helped to preserve the condition of the postcard. The postcard mailing panel has been addressed, stamped with one cent stamp and postmarked Chicago, IL,Sept, 1911. Glass is cracked on the verso.
