Rare 1928 Yankees-Indians Program Signed by Babe Ruth and Johnny Grabowski
Official 1928 Cleveland Indians program from a game between the Tribe and the New York Yankees signed by Babe Ruth, Johnny Grabowski and Bob Meusel on the inside in pencil. Ruth's signature is clean and clear and rates an "8.5" out of a possible 10. Both catcher Johnny Grabowski and outfielder Bob Meusel's signatures are comperable to Ruth's in quality. Ruth and Meusel, of course, are known entities. As for Grabowski, you might say "who?" -- but his is actually the toughest signature of the '27 Yankees to obtain, as he died in a fire in 1946. The program is scored inside and features the starting lineups and rosters for both teams. Extremely scarce program is 5 1/2 x 9" and boasts an Indian swinging a baseball bat on the cover.
