Rare 1949-51 Detroit Tigers Pennants (3)
Three Detroit Tigers pennants, from 1949-1951. Features historic Briggs Stadium, former iconic ballpark of the Detroit Tigers. 1) 1949 pennant shows snarling Tiger mascot and a Tiger batting. Red, with white and green lettering. Reads, "Briggs Stadium Detroit Tigers 1949." Has remnants of tassels and a few small holes. Tip is worn away. (11x28"). 2) 1950 pennant. Shows Briggs Stadium in green and an orange Tiger mascot, plus a small baseball. Red background has faded to a dark maroon. Reads, "Detroit Tigers Briggs Stadium 1950." Has tassels, one very small hole. 3) 1951 pennant. Reads, "Detriot Tigers Briggs Stadium 1951." Shows Briggs Stadium in green and a snarling, leaping tiger. Has tassels, but end has been repaired with tape. Small hole near tip. (11x28").
