Rare Jackie Robinson Wrist Watch
The times, they certainly were a-changin' when Hall of Fame second baseman and civil rights icon Jackie Robinson broke baseball's color barrier in 1947. And his timeliness extended to the wristwatch variety as evidenced by this “character” timepiece created in 1950 for sale to the mass market. This is extremely rare with only a few specimens known. The face shows Jackie batting, and the ball he smashes adorns the hour hand. The watch is in EX condition and still keeps time. Includes the original brown leather band.
